The Second winningest franchise in NHL history, the Toronto Maple Leafs are a team with tremendous hockey culture. WIth worldwide appeal, the Maple Leafs boast one of the biggest fanbase in the NHL. SInce the clubs inception to the NHL in 1917, The team was known simply as “Toronto.” Currently, with a net value of $1.15 billion, the Toronto Maple Leafs are the most valuable franchise in the NHL. SLightly edging out the New York Rangers and the Montreal Canadiens.

After a tough 12th place finish in the difficult Eastern Conference, the Maple Leafs are looking to have a bounce back year under head coach Randy Carlyle. Carlisle has a reputation for winning. In 2007, Carlyle led the Anaheim Ducks to their first Stanley Cup victory. The Maple Leaf fans hope he can do the same in Toronto. Before last years Winter Classic, team captain Don Phaneuf inked a 7 year contract extension. They Hope with the strong defensive presence of Phaneuf to build around, the team will look improve on a disappointing 2013-2014 season.
