More About Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Established: 1976

Stadium: Raymond James Stadium

Super Bowl Wins: 2002

Notable Players: Lee Roy Selmon, Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, Ronde Barber, Vincent Jackson

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the younger teams in the NFL, only joining the league in the expansion year of 1976. That being said, they are the first post-expansion team to win a division title, win a playoff game, and to host and play in a conference championship game.

Lately, though, things have been rough in Tampa Bay. The Bucs had a bad 2013 season, going 4-12, firing their head coach, Greg Schiano, and the GM Mark Dominik. Fans are surely anxious to see what 2014 has in store for the team. The team added several big free agents during the offseason, as well as former Bears coach, Lovie Smith. Still, it’s a tough road to the playoffs with the Saints and Panthers in the way, and the Falcons lurking above. The Bucs are a young team, though, and if it’s not this year then definitely in the coming years they should be contenders for the NFC South. Then again, it is the NFL, and you just never know. So grab your Tampa Bay Bucs tickets and head to the pirate ship!

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Schedule 2014

The Buccaneers are poised for a big season after all of their additions and drafting. They are three years removed from their last winning record, and in a tough NFC South, it will still be an uphill climb. They still have to play division rivals the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons and reigning division champs Carolina Panthers. They also will face teams from the NFC North and AFC North. Check the entire Tampa Bay Buccaneeres schedule to find the games you want to see this season.

Key Home Games

Week 1 vs. Carolina Panthers - The new-look Bucs will get tested early with this matchup against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers.

Week 16 vs. Green Bay Packers - A big test at the end of the season will come in the form of the explosive Aaron Rodgers and the rest of the Green Bay Packers.

Week 17 vs. New Orleans Saints - If the Buccaneers want to make noise in the NFC South, they need to upend the Saints. If all goes according to plan, this game will have playoff implications for both teams.
