More About Minnesota Wild

Established: 1997

Stadium: Xcel Energy Center

Stanley Cups Won: 0

Notable Players: Mikko Koivu, Ryan Suter, Zach Parise

Rivals: Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings

After the Minnesota North Stars were relocated to Dallas in 1993, Minnesota were deprived of a hockey team, but in 1997 regained a hockey franchise. Based out of St. Paul, The Minnesota WIld were born into a hockey “wild” fanbase. High school and college hockey are massive sporting attractions within the state of Minnesota, and the high school state hockey championship are held at the Wilds arena, The Xcel Energy Center.

In recent years, the WIld have added some big name players to bolster their roster. With big additions such as Ryan Suter, Zach Parise, Thomas Vanek and MIkko Koivu, fans are hopeful that the team will reach the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history. THe future looks very promising for the WIld and fans should be excited for the years ahead. If you’re interested in heading to a great hockey experience, grab some WIld tickets!

Minnesota Wild 2014-15 Schedule

The Wild kick off the season with a home game against the Colorado Avalanche, which is a game that should be a good preview of what’s in store for the 2014-15 season. After running the gauntlet of the Central Division, the Wild close up shop for the regular season with an away game against the Blues. Will they make the playoffs? With some of the pricier tickets in the league, an average of $108 will get you in to see all of the action.
