The Vikes are getting a new dome. After playing in the Metrodome for 30 years, they’re gong to play in the TCF Bank Stadium until the Vikings Stadium is completed in 2016. They’re leaving behind a lot of history in the Metrodome, where the worked towards having one of the NFL’s highest win percentages. They know how to win in the Twin Cities.
Lately, though, winning hasn’t come so easy to the Vikings. They went 5-10-1 in 2013 and fired head coach Leslie Frazier. Now new head coach Mike Zimmer has a QB battle on his hands between veteran Matt Cassel and rookie standout Teddy Bridgewater. Only preseason will tell which one comes out on top. In the meantime, though, there’s still Adria Peterson who is arguably the best RB of all time. He’s a beast. Period. The Vikings look to compete in a crowded NFC North with the Bears, Packers and Lions all looking like battle ready teams. Now’s the time to grab your Minnesota Vikings tickets and get ready for the 2014 season.
Minnesota Vikings Schedule 2014
The Vikings have a lot to look forward to in the 2014 season under new head coach Mike Zimmer. Adrian Peterson and the Vikings still need to get past NFC North foes the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears. The Vikings also get to square off against teams from the AFC East and the NFC South this season. What better time to check the Minnesota Vikings schedule and find the games you want to see?
Key Home Games
Week 2 vs. New England Patriots - Tom Brady and the Patriots might have their best team in years, and who better to prove yourself against than one of the best teams in the NFL right off the bat?
Week 12 vs. Green Bay Packers - The last time these two teams played, they ended in a 26-26 tie. Neither team is going to want that this time around.
Week 17 vs. Chicago Bears - Longtime Vikings defensive end Jared Allen returns to Minnesota wearing a Chicago uniform for the last game of the 2014 season, one where playoff implications could be in play.
