The Milwaukee Brewers spent a good portion of their existence in the American League, but in 1994 they switched over to the NL Central. The Brewers initially struggled after the move, but when the young core of Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun joined the team from the minor leagues. Braun won rookie of the year in 2007, and the Brewers returned to the postseason in 2008 after trading for C.C. Sabathia for the first time since 1982.
The Brewers haven’t been able to win consistently since then, but 2014 represents a huge turnaround. The Brewers raced out into first place and haven’t looked back. Behind Braun, Carlos Gomez and Aramis Ramirez, Milwaukee is trying to end their latest postseason drought. Miller Park hasn’t seen this much excitement in a few years.
