The Packers have captured 13 League Championships beginning in 1929 including four Super Bowl Championships in 1966, 1967, 1996 and 2010. And you can’t mention Packers Football without mentioning the legendary Vince Lombardi who won five World Championships in a seven year span.
Coming off an 8-7-1 campaign in 2013 which saw them lose the WIld Card game to the San Francisco 49ers, the Packers look to bounce back led by Aaron Rodgers. They will face teams from the AFC East this year including the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots in addition to their normal, conference rival games against the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions. Looking up and down the schedule this year it’s hard to find a bad ticket to any game, especially at Lambeau Field. Find your Green Bay Packers tickets now.
The Packers’ Biggest Rivals
Packers vs. Bears
Probably the biggest and best rivalry in the NFC North, if not the entire NFL, the Packers/Bears game always exemplifies what NFL football and its elements are all body. The Bears barely lead the series 93-89-6 and not surprisingly the teams split their two regular season games in 2013.
Packers vs. Lions
The Packers lead the series, which dates back to 1930, 93-66-7 and the teams split their two 2013 meetings. Not surprisingly the Packers beat the Lions at Lambeau Field 22-9 marking the 23rd consecutive time Green Bay has beaten Detriot in Wisconsin. The Lions have not won a road game against the Packers since 1991.
Packers vs. Vikings
This rivalry, which began in 1961, reached its crescendo in 2008 when Packers star quarterback Brett Favre expressed his desire to comeback with the Vikings. This added a tremendous amount of sizzle to an already bitter dislike between the two teams. The first meeting between Favre and the Vikings took place in Minnesota on Monday Night Football and the result was the most viewed game in the history of MNF and the Vikings winning the game 30-23. Green Bay leads the all-time series 56-49-2.
Green Bay Packers 2014 Schedule
The Packers are primed for another big season in 2014 behind Aaron Rodgers, Clay Matthews, and retooled rosters on both sides of the ball. Green Bay has a loaded schedule this year, including matchups against NFC North foes the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings plus games versus the AFC East and NFC South. It's going to be difficult to choose just one game on the Green Bay Packers schedule to attend with all of the exciting matchups planned!
Key Home Games
Week 5 vs. Minnesota Vikings - The first home game in NFC North play comes against heated rival Minnesota for this Thursday night showdown.. Lambeau won’t quite be frozen in October, so this is can’t-miss.
Week 10 vs. Chicago Bears - The next chapter in this rivalry between NFC North adversaries should make for one of the most entertaining games of the season. Both offenses are set to explode.
Week 13 vs. New England Patriots - Two of the best quarterbacks in the game, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, meet for only the second time in their careers. This is must-watch football, and what better place to take in the action than Lambeau Field.
