The Georgetown Hoyas are one of the more storied universities in NCAA basketball. Though they only have one NCAA Tournament Championship, the Hoyas are ingrained in the sport’s history. From the coaches (John Thompson and now John Thompson III) to the players (Patrick Ewing, Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutombo, Allen Iverson) and the NCAA Tournament history, the Hoyas are still one of the premiere teams in the Big East. Though the team has dropped off a bit of late, Georgetown is never too far out of the championship picture. This season, things will be different for the Hoyas, so make sure you grab your Georgetown basketball tickets and don’t miss a second of the action.

Georgetown Hoyas 2014 Schedule

While the Big East isn’t the power it once was, it’s still a highly distinguished conference filled with plenty of tough teams. Georgetown doesn’t have the most difficult non-conference schedule, but the Hoyas will still face stiff competition from the likes of Marquette, Villanova, St. John’s and Creighton. It’s going to be an exciting year in the Big East, and Georgetown is a big reason for that.
