The Detroit Tigers are one of the more consistently successful and competitive franchises in baseball. Four World Series Titles, 11 American League Pennants and several Hall of Famers speak to the success Detroit has experienced. However, their last World Series came 30 years ago, so the Tigers are definitely due for a title in the near future.
That title might come sooner rather than later. Detroit has arguably the best hitter in baseball, Miguel Cabrera, winner of back-to-back AL MVP’s and a recent Triple Crown recipient. The Tigers also just swung a deal to acquire Tampa Bay ace David Price, forming one of the league’s more formidable starting rotations: Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer and David Price. All three have won Cy Young awards, which is bad news for opposing lineups.
Comerica Park in Detroit is a spacious, pitcher-friendly park that is one of the nicest places to take in a ballgame in the American League. The Tigers have all the pieces in place, and now they just need to put them together. Get your Tigers tickets today and watch some of the best players in the game this season!
Detroit Tigers 2014 Schedule
The Detroit Tigers play a tough divisional slate of games in the AL Central. They have won the last three division titles, but their success puts a big target on their backs. The Tigers face their toughest competition from the Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox, but the upstart Kansas City Royals are pushing Detroit this season. Detroit is still the class of the division until they are unseated, but nothing will be handed to them this year.
