More About Columbus Blue Jackets

Established: 1997

Stadium: Nationwide Arena

Stanley Cups Won: 0

Notable Players: Rick Nash, Brandon Dubinsky, Ryan Johansen, Sergei Bobrovsky

Rivals: Pittsburgh Penguins

The Columbus Blue Jackets returned to the playoffs for the first time since 2009. Although they were dispatched in the first round at the hands of the Penguins, The Blues gave their home crowd of Columbus something to cheer body. The young and inexperienced lost their series to the Penguins 4-2 but showed relentless work rate and effort to win in front of their home crowd in a dramatic 4-3 OT thriller. Despite the series lost, the fans in Columbus definitely have a lot to look forward to with the development of key players such as R.J. Umberger, Brandon Dubinsky and Artem Anisimov. With the added playoff experience, the Blue Jackets may make another run towards the postseason in 2015.

With a lot of new players entering the team over the past two seasons, Columbus may not quite be ready to make a playoff run. The Blue Jackets fanbase certainly will have something to look forward to in the upcoming years. Average ticket prices reflect this at $50, so now would be a good time to get some cheap Blue Jackets tickets and watch them return to glory.

Blue Jackets 2014-15 Schedule

The Blue Jackets open the season on October 9th with an away game against the Sabres and close out away against the NY Islanders on April 11th. You can check the full schedule and get tickets here for all of the Metropolitan Division games. See you on the ice!
