More About Charlotte Hornets

Charlotte Hornets Ticket Information

Established: 1988

Arena: Time Warner Cable Arena

333 E Trade St, Charlotte, NC 28202

NBA Championships: 0

Notable Players: Kemba Walker (PG), Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (F), Lance Stephenson (F)

Rivals: Atlanta Hawks

There’s a strong of crop of good, young and talented players in Charlotte, who have switched their name back to the Hornets, the name they originally called themselves in 1988. Led by emerging star Kemba Walker, the Hornets also boast one of the top centers in the NBA in Al Jefferson. Charlotte didn’t rest on their 43-39 record which saw them make the playoffs for just the second time since 2002, as they went out and signed former Pacer Lance Stephenson. They were also very active on draft night taking Indiana underclassmen Noah Vonleh and trading for North Carolina’s P.J. Hairston, who spent the end of the season in the NBA’s Development League after being suspended by the Tar Heels for his conduct.

Look for the Hornets to play with a little more pace this year (21st in the NBA) to try and get some easy baskets in transition to help their offensive inefficiencies (24th in total offense). Defensively, behind the quick hands of Walker and the sound structure from head coach Steve Clifford, the Hornets ranked 5th in the entire NBA. If they can balance out their offense and get scoring from Stephenson and company, look out for the Hornets in the east. Charlotte Hornets tickets will be in high demand, so make sure to find yours early!
