Most young kids sing into hair brushes and pretend to be rock stars, but not many of them actually realize those dreams. Peter Gene Hernandez did, and you might know him better by his name stage name Bruno Mars. Ever since he was a young kid growing up in Hawaii, Mars had his sights set on a singing career. Who would have thought that impersonating Elvis as a child would get him there?
Since his debut album Doo Wops & Hooligans released in 2010, Mars has grown into a worldwide superstar. With two enormously popular albums and a handful of chart-topping singles like “Just the Way You Are”, “Grenade”, “Locked Out Of Heaven”, “Treasure”, and “When I Was Your Man”, Mars has only scratched the surface. He’s earned two Grammy Awards and his tours have quickly turned into must-see events.
Mars showed just how entertaining he can be when he performed at the halftime of Super Bowl XLVIII. From the synchronized dance moves with his band The Hooligans to his out-of-this-world vocals, Bruno Mars leaves it all out there on the stage from his fans and provides a show that is both a nod to the past and a journey to the future.
