Interpol Releases Video for 'All The Rage Back Home'

In this article…

Yesterday, Interpol released the first "official" track and video off their much-anticipated upcoming album El Pintor. When I say first "official" track, I mean the first one put out with a proper video. The first two songs from the new album were taken from concerts, but "All The Rage Back Home" has studio sound paired up with a classy, Interpol-style video that was co-directed by lead singer Paul Banks.

I'm not the only one that was likely let down by Interpol's last self-titled album, but the new material sounds like the Interpol of old. I feel a sense of renewed vigor listening to the upbeat drumming of Sam Fogarino and the pleasant guitar from Daniel Kessler. Things just sounded like a big malaise on the last album, but something's definitely sparked within the band. Everything sounds livelier and more purposeful.

If you like Interpol, and we're talking Turn On The Bright Lights or Antics Interpol, then you'll love this track. If you don't like Interpol, why are you reading this? Give it a listen anyway.

El Pintor comes out on September 9 via Matador Records.
