Watch Conan O'Brien Get 50 Celebrity Cameos

Conan’s MTV Movie Awards cold open was packed with stars. Check out the full list of winners, too.

The 2014 MTV Movie Awards took place last night, and host Conan O'Brien couldn't have gotten the festivities started off in a more star-studded manner. Conan set out to break Jean Claude Van Damme's record 8 celebrity cameos for an MTV Movie Awards intro (a pretty false stat to begin with) by rounding up 50 celebrities for his cold open.

Over the course of nearly four minutes (not counting the intro time), got willing and unwilling cameos from celebrities that span the entire spectrum of what constitutes as a "celebrity." There were big names like Adam Sandler, Martin Scorcese, Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Russell Crowe, Jessica Alba, Anthony Hopkins and what might have been Jack Nicholson's middle finger. Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Ice Cube, Skrillex, Blake Griffin, Ed Helms, Danny McBride, Andy Samberg, Emma Watson, Anna Faris, Sarah Silverman and plenty more showed up, too.

But then there were odd names thrown in there: Tom Arnold strong-armed his way into the proceedings. I wonder how many people in attendance at the MTV Movie Awards actually knew who Tom Arnold was when he appeared on screen. The entire cast of CBS' The Big Bang Theory was included. I can understand Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and maybe Simon Helberg. Mayim Bialik is also an Emmy Nominee. But Melissa Rauch and Kunal Nayyar? I'm not sure about their inclusion. Finally, Grumpy Cat was included as a celebrity. A cat that does nothing but appear grumpy (against its will) is now a celebrity. Internet memes are not celebrities, at least not in my book.

But aside from those minor points of contention, it was a fine opening bit. It might not be on par with Conan's Emmy hosting bits, but it still did the trick. Here are the complete list of winners from last night's awards below:
