Watch: Jerry Seinfeld and 'Harry Styles' on 'The Tonight Show'

The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon keeps rolling out the big guns in its opening week. Last night, Jerry Seinfeld became the first comedian to appear on Fallon's show, and as he explained in a brief interview after his set, this was an honor for him. Seinfeld was a senior in high school when The Tonight Show moved to California. To be the first comedian to appear on the show in New York City since the 70s is a big deal, especially for someone as entrenched in the New York City comedy scene as Seinfeld has been.

The move to New York excites me for the opportunity that it could give some of the fantastic NYC comedians that I've had the pleasure of seeing over the past couple of years. Instead of having to go out to California, they can just hop on the subway and appear on national television. Pretty cool. Check out Seinfeld's typically spot-on observations and his interview with Fallon below:

Also stopping by was One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles in the form of Kristen Wiig. In the vein of her Michael Jordan impression on Late Night, Wiig looked the part of styles, complete with the hair (which takes two hair driers to perfect), white v-neck and plenty of accessories. The beauty of Wiig's performance is the complete lack of an impression. She doesn't even try to put on a British accent or claim to know anything about Styles/One Direction. The whole thing turns into a giant laugh fest, which is going to be a trademark of the new Tonight Show.
