A Local Sportscaster was Ron Burgundy for Halloween

His glorious impression of San Diego’s greatest news anchor is definitely promotion-worthy.

A Local Sportscaster was Ron Burgundy for Halloween

In this article…

Anchorman fever hit a new high yesterday when Paul Gerke, a Boise sports anchor successfully pulled off a pretty spot-on Ron Burgundy impression for Halloween on his station's local broadcast. He was able to effectively mix in some fabulous Anchorman references to the point where it didn't sound forced. He even threw in a line commenting on Will Ferrell's hilarious Dodge Durango commercials AND did the weather forecast, predicting that there was a 30% chance next Wednesday and Thursday would happen and warning all the viewers to be prepared for the apocalypse. It was all so beautiful, and it had me envious all at the same time.

It's clear after watching this that Gerke is the class of the station. I hope that a network talent scout was on hand to watch that brilliant performance, because that's the kind of segment that will get you straight to network. Check out the clip below and let it kick-start your Friday.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues hits theaters on December 20. If you can't wait that long, just watch this clip over and over again.
