New Evanescence Album set to Drop October 4th

Evanescence fans have reason to rejoice.

After five long years since their release of The Open Door, lead singer Amy Lee says their new album which is due Oct. 4th is one of the band's heaviest releases.

In an interview with Billboard, Lee describes the new album as having "themes of brokenness, the quest for freedom, and then there's songs that are just about falling in love ... it's just all over the place".

The producer on the new album  is none other than Nick Rasculinecz who hit new creative heights by working on the recent and widely accepted releases of Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains and Deftones.

Guitarist Troy McLawhorn also rejoined the band after a fallout with a member from his former band Seether.

(McLawhorn joined Evanescence in 2007 and left a year later to join Seether's line-up).

Along with reuniting with McLawhorn and celebrating the release of their new album the band is also playing the 2011 Rock on the Range Music Festival on Aug 20th in Canada.  Those lucky fans might get a taste of the new material from Evanescence.
