Alicia Keys debuts song from her 10th anniversary album

Alicia Keys Ten Years In

Alicia Keys began her BET Awards performance debuting an un-released song “Typewriter”, which will be on her 10th anniversary album. From this new hit, she continued her performance with “A Woman’s Worth” and “Fallin” from her debut album Songs in a Minor. Songs in a Minor released in June of 2001 and 10 years later we see her now performing on stage with Bruno Mars and even the “Boss” that is Rick Ross.
Songs in a Minor
was the album that allowed us to fall in love with then young, braids-wearing Alicia Keys. This was the album that released her to the world of music and gave some of us soulful music lovers hope that real music was still surfacing within the industry. Last night on BET, Keys had a regal atmosphere that was granted to her through the years. She allowed us to witness who we fell in love with and still continued to adore.
Her BET Awards performance wasn’t just another performance but a celebration. Tomorrow, June 28, 2011, J Records will be releasing the deluxe and Collector’s 10th anniversary edition of Alicia Keys’ Songs in a Minor, bonus tracks and live performances. Charged.fm celebrates Alicia Keys, a powerhouse artist.
