More About Arizona Diamondbacks

Established: 1998

Stadium: Chase Field

World Series Titles: 1 (2001)

Notable Players: Randy Johnson, Curt Schilling, Luis Gonzalez, Brandon Webb, Justin Upton, Paul Goldschmidt

The Arizona Diamondbacks are one of the newest franchises in MLB, but it didn’t take the team long to bring home a World Series title. After a series of big moves both in the offseason and at the trade deadline, the manager Bob Brenly took the Diamondbacks, stocked with Randy Johnson, Curt Schilling and a host of other talented players to their only championship, and it was an amazing, dramatic seven-game series against the New York Yankees. Star slugger Luis Gonzalez won it for the team in the bottom of the ninth inning with a walk-off single against the great Mariano Rivera.

The Diamondbacks have only returned to the postseason three times since that lone World Series title, but the Diamondbacks are close to returning to postseason form. Led by franchise first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, the Diamondbacks are poised to turn things around soon. Pitchers Wade Miley and Josh Collmenter anchor an improving starting rotation, and when Patrick Corbin returns from injury next season, the Diamondbacks will be ready to compete.

Playing in the warm climate of Phoenix makes taking in a game at Chase field a great experience. If you get too hot, you can take a dip in the pool beyond the right field fence and hope that a slugger hits one out to you. The amenities and great play on the field make a Diamondbacks game one of the nicest in the game, so get your Diamondbacks tickets and get set to watch a team on the rise!

Arizona Diamondbacks 2014 Schedule

Playing in the NL West, the Diamondbacks see a lot of great teams come through Arizona on a regular basis. The star-studded Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants play close to 20 games out in Phoenix, where great players like Yasiel Puig, Hanley Ramirez, Clayton Kershaw, Buster Posey and Tim Lincecum get to face off against the Diamondbacks. Divisional games are a must-see in Arizona, so check out the Arizona Diamondbacks 2014 Schedule to find the games and teams you want to see!
