John Legend Bio

John Legend is one talented individual. He sang in choir at the age of four, started learning piano at age seven, and finished high school when he was sixteen. I guess a combination of those things led him to get an admissions offer from Harvard and a scholarship from Georgetown. He ultimately decided on studying English at UPenn.

While in college, John Legend met Lauryn Hill and played piano for her track “Everything is Everything”. He later began playing shows around Philly, then Boston, NYC and Atlanta. In 2001, he was introduced to up-and-coming Kanye West, who he started singing on backing tracks for.

His history, connections and talent led to his first studio album, Get Lifted, debuting at 13 on the charts and then becoming an international hit. He’s worked with everyone from Fergie to Stephen Colbert, and was even working with the late Michael Jackson. The grammies and success are still continuing today. Not to mention, John Legend tickets are hot.
