Role : Writing/Content Marketing Intern
Summary :
This internship is not one where you will be running errands, getting coffee, or other non-related tasks. We are looking for people who are self-motivated and can truly develop their writing skills while also being molded and learning the world of online journalism and content marketing. CHARGED.fm online magazine tells the story of the event, be it the game, the concert, the show, or even the movie. We are looking for people who are willing to learn, willing to work, and who want to make the best out of their internship experience. We want the experience to be beneficial on both ends, as we want your creative input in addition to giving you the knowledge we have to help prepare you for entrance into the field of journalism. Description :
At CHARGED.fm, interns will have the opportunity to write about a variety of things: sports, music, comedy, theater, movies, and the world of events. Your articles will be your own personal portfolio. Everything you write goes under your writing profile that everyone will be able to see. You’ll work with the editorial team daily working out content assignments. Interns will experience covering events (games, concerts, etc.) and capturing what the event was all about. Interns will create original content (photo galleries, videos, etc.) to really help tell the story and help brand the website. Interns will also learn and participate in online content marketing.
Requirements :
Interns should be able to produce timely, relevant, and mistake-free content that fits the style of the website. They should have familiarity working in a CMS and not have a problem working with deadlines. It’s preferable that interns are available to come to our Brooklyn offices weekly. Skill with Photoshop, video skills, or Internet skills like GIFs or screen caps aren’t required, but those skills would help greatly.
