Linkin Park Fans Raises a Quarter of a Million Dollars for Tsunami Relief

Linkin Park's charity gig  for Japan took place in Los Angeles, California at the Mayan Theater which has a capacity for only about 1,100 people.

These fans worked hard as they were asked by Linkin Park to raise a minimum of $500 in exchange for a pair of tickets to this intimate show.

In an interview with MTV.com, frontman Chester Bennington spoke about the concert, saying“We wanted to do something that was exciting for our fans and gave them something to look forward to, a goal that was beyond anything they’d done before."

100% of the proceeds went directly to benefiting children affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Linkin Park also invited Japan band B’z to open the show which made for a very special evening for everyone involved.

Anyone who wants to donate to the cause still can by visiting Linkin Park’s Music for Relief site.
