Chad Ochocinco to Give Bucs Rookie $20,000?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie linebacker Mason Foster lit up New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco in the first quarter of their preseason game last Thursday, August 18th. When Ochocinco came across the middle, the third round pick knocked the ball lose and was flagged for unnecessary roughness and subsequently fined.

Via Deadspin:

So when Roger Goodell fined Foster the same $20K today, Ochocinco (who had complimented Foster on the hit on Twitter) decided he wouldn't stand for it:

ochocinco: @nflcommish Dad no disrespect but I don't agree with @mason_foster fine n I'll be reimbursing him personally. Please feel free to contact me

Ochocinco can be annoying, but you gotta love this move. Foster signed a 4 year contract with 1.4 million dollars guaranteed in April, which is not much compared to the money Ochocinco has acquired over the years. But the best part of this proposed gesture is that he's giving Foster the money because he knows the hit was clean and disagrees with Goodell enough to rectify the situation on his own. When the guy who is on the receiving end of the big hit doesn't think it was dirty, you know the league is not handing out penalties and fines properly.

Yes, he really did call Goodell "dad".
