After a new album annoucement, the Decemberists will hit the road for a North American tour next spring.

The Decemberists Announce First Tour In Three Years

The Decemberists are releasing their new album What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World on January 20th via Capitol Records. In support of the upcoming release, the band has announced a string of shows that includes the group's first U.S tour in three years.

The Decemberists will kick off their tour in Europe. They will return to play a show in their hometown of Portland, Oregon to start the U.S leg of shows. The tour will bring them to NYC on April 6th at Beacon Theatre. Canadian band Alvvays will join them for all the tour dates excluding Portland and Nashville.

Tickets for all dates go on sale this Friday, November 27th, at 11 AM. There will be a fan pre-sale beginning Wednesday, November 19th, at 10 AM. Additionally, the new album's lead single "Make You Better" will also be out as a special Black Friday release for Record Store Day. Check out the full list of dates below.
