The Rangers rematch the Penguins on Saturday evening

The New York Rangers head to Pittsburgh for a Saturday evening clash against the Pittsburgh Penguins. After a 5-0 defeat at Madison Square Garden this past Tuesday evening, the Penguins will look to revenge a difficult loss.

The Penguins were the NHL’s hottest team heading into Tuesdays match up. They had won seven straight until the Rangers shut them out 5-0 on the Garden ice. The rivalry between the two clubs goes back decades, however the recent bad blood is stemming from last year's improbable comeback by the Rangers in their playoff series. The Rangers trailed 3-1 and rallied all the way back to win 4-3, with the final win coming on the Penguins' ice. With the tough playoff series loss and a massive defeat in their first matchup, this is a game the Penguins will really want to win.

The Rangers on the other hand have been playing great hockey. The Rick Nash, Martin St. Louis and Derick Brassard unit is proving to be a high powered offensive line. With Derek Stepan back healthy and Dan Boyle returning to the lineup after a month absence Thursday evening, the Rangers are healthy again. Henrik Lundqvist has recovered from his fairly shaky start and has returned to his “King” status at The Garden.

The matchup on Saturday also boasts two of the best players in the NHL currently. Sidney Crosby is without question one of the best players (if not the best) player in the NHL. Rick Nash has been scoring goals for fun in the early stage of the season. These two stars are hoping their respective hot streaks will translate into a win, and it will be a fun game to watch.
