Pavel Datsyuk is 'The Magic Man' with Game-Winner Over Bruins

In a thrilling 1-0 win over the Boston Bruins at TD Garden, Pavel Datsyuk of the Detroit Red Wings reminded us why he is nicknamed "The Magic Man."

Just 20 seconds after the Bruins' Milan Lucic came inches of scoring, Datsyuk took it upon himself to break the scoreless deadlock for the Red Wings. After Franzen lost control of the puck in the neutral zone, he reached back and somehow hauled it in between his legs from two Bruins' defenders. Then he charged into the offensive zone and snapped a wicked shot past Tukka Rask's glove side to make it 1-0 with about four minutes left in the third period. It was Datsyuk's 37th career playoff goal and his 6th career game winner in the postseason.

With the Game One in hand, the Red Wings now hold home ice advantage over the heavily favored Bruins. The Red Wings utilized their speed well to give the bigger and stronger Bruins fits. Also, Detroit's goaltender Jimmy Howard and the defense played a solid game to blank the Bruins' dangerous offense. If this game is any indication for what is come, it's going to be a LONG series as it seems not much separates these two squads.
