The Lions didn’t give up a touchdown, but Tucker’s six field goals were the difference in the 18-16 win.

Justin Tucker has been a focal part of the Baltimore Ravens' offense over the last few weeks, and that's not something you usually say about a kicker. But over the last four weeks, Tucker has gone 15-15 on his field goal attempts, good for 45 points over that span (not counting his five extra points). The Ravens have scored 88 points over these four weeks, which means that Tucker has been just about as viable as any other offensive option on the Ravens.

Last night against the Detroit Lions, Tucker was the offense for Baltimore. The Ravens won 18-16 behind Tucker's six field goals. The last of those came with under a minute left and the team trailing by one after a Lions touchdown and failed two-point conversion. The offense stalled again, which left Tucker to attempt a 61-yarder to take the lead. Tucker just snuck it inside the right upright and over the crossbar to cap his incredible night. On the ensuing Lions possession, Matthew Stafford threw an interception on the first play to effectively end the game.

If Tucker can keep up this pace, he has a legitimate shot of potentially tying or passing David Akers' single-season record of 44 field goals that he set in 2011. Tucker has made 35 so far. A couple more five-field goal games definitely aren't out of the realm of possibility, especially with the state of the Ravens offense. I'm sure his fantasy owners would like a repeat performance, and after the game, Tucker gave a shout-out to all of the fantasy owners he bailed out with all those field goals.

On Sunday night, the Detroit Pistons lost via a Damian Lillard buzzer-beater. Then Tucker gets them with a last-minute field goal on Monday night. The Pistons were at least able to bounce back yesterday to beat the Pacers. We'll have to see how the Lions do next week against the lowly New York Giants.
