Watch Lorde's 'Live On Letterman' Performance

In this article…

Sensational teen pop singer Lorde performed for David Letterman's audience last night.

The performance was half-an-hour long and was a compilation of six songs from her recent album Pure Heroine as well as Love Club EP. She thoroughly enjoyed herself when engaging with the crowd and while she sang. Her sparkly dress made her look even more phenomenal on stage.

What made the performance even better was her interaction with the audience. She talked about how the producers of the show had asked her if she was okay with them putting lights on the audience so they're visible to her. "I love seeing you guys," she explained, laughing. Lorde also told the audience what the song 'Ribs' was about: Growing up, getting older and this big party that she had when her parents were away once.

The 17-year-old's voice was accompanied by the sound of drums and keyboard and amazingly, the simple background sound was just perfect. She just kept waving her hand and moving to the beats. The mini-concert ended up portraying a completely different side of the artist, who comes across as being dark, judging by her music and even her photos.
