VIDEO: David Ortiz's Game-Tying Grand Slam

Check out this incredible fan-shot video of David Ortiz’s grand slam that propelled Boston’s comeback.

The MLB postseason has already given us plenty of exciting moments, but the league championship series between the Boston Red Sox/Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers/St. Louis Cardinals are upping the ante. Carlos Beltran was the hero for the Cardinals in Game 1 of the NLCS. He drove in all three runs (including the game-winner in the bottom of the 13th) and threw out Mark Ellis at home plate when he attempted to score on a sac fly in the top of the 11th. That doesn't compare to one of October's finest auteurs of memorable moments: David Ortiz.

The Red Sox were on the verge of heading to Detroit down 0-2 with a matchup against Justin Verlander on the horizon. Max Scherzer had struck out 13 in 7 innings while surrendering just one run, and entering the 8th inning the Red Sox trailed 5-1. But the Red Sox rallied to load the bases for Big Papi with two outs. On the first pitch he saw from new pitcher Joaquin Benoit, Ortiz crushed a game-tying grand slam that flew just over the outreached glove or Torii Hunter. The blast helped Boston eventually win it in the ninth on Jarrod Saltalamacchia's game-winning single.

Can't you just feel the excitement and euphoria from that fan-shot video above? That's passion. That's what postseason baseball is all about. If you still think baseball is boring after watching something like that, I can't really help you.
