End to end action and quick scoring leaves game tied 2-2.

USA vs. Mexico Tied After 1st Half

The first half of the CONCACAF Gold Cup Final is over, a 2-2 tie between the U.S. and Mexico.

The United States jumped out to a 2-0 lead on the back of tallies by Michael Bradley on a header and Landon Donovan on a tic-tac-toe passing play. Though the U.S.'s transition counter-attack served them well, it also left the defense out to dry as Mexico climbed back in with a pair of transition goals of their own. Barrera and Guardado have the Mexican goals.

Both teams have quick-strike offenses, which will certainly make for an energetic second half, with a birth to the Confederations Cup on the line.
