Andrew Wiggins Chooses Kansas

In this article…

John Calipari doesn't get all of the high-prized recruits. He only gets most of them. The one that got away happened to be the top recruit in the nation. Andrew Wiggins, the Canadian prospect who played at Huntington Prep in West Virginia, chose Kansas over his final schools of Kentucky, UNC and Florida State today.

Bill Self will have one of the top wing prospects to enter college basketball in quite some time. People are already making the absurd comparisons to players like LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant, but when you watch him play you can see why people are so excited about him. He has size (6'7", 210 pounds), he can score (23.4 points per game), he rebounds and defends (11.1 rebounds, 2.4 steals, 2.4 blocks), and he does it all in such an effortless fashion. Just watch some of his highlights below to get a sense of this kid's talent level:

Then watch this insane dunk he threw down in the McDonald's All-American Dunk Contest:

The kid surely has a bright future ahead of him, and we'll see how he fares on the college ranks next year with Bill Self and the Jayhawks.
