NBA Highlight of the Night - Harrison Barnes Goes Reverse

Barnes went for 24 points in Golden State’s win, but these two were his most emphatic.

In this article…

The first round matchup between the Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors appeared to be one of the most fun ones on paper. Both teams can put up a lot of points, both teams have exciting young players, and the up-and-down styles would lead one to believe that this would be an incredibly entertaining series.

Unfortunately, injuries to both teams have dampened some of those expectations. Denver is missing Danilo Gallinari. David Lee went down with a torn hip flexor in Golden State's Game 1 loss. Those expectations maybe needed to be curbed slightly, if at all.

After last night, however, both teams proved they can still score in bunches, especially the Warriors. Golden State tied up the series with their 131-117 win over Denver. Stephen Curry paced the Warriors with 30 points and 13 assists and was one of four starters to score over 20 points. Jarret Jack scored 26, Harrison Barnes scored 24 and Klay Thompson put up 21 points to lay it on the Nuggets. Golden State shot 64% from the field, and it's not like Denver was cold either. They hit 50% of their shots. Golden State was just hotter.

NBA Highlight of the Night - Harrison Barnes Goes Reverse

While Curry's big game won the night, Barnes and his reverse jam won Highlight of the Night. Barnes blew by Andre Miller, then went reverse to avoid the long arms of JaVale McGee trying to contest the shot. It was a statement dunk in a statement game for Golden State as they take home court advantage from the Nuggets.
