Barcelona's Primavera Sound 2013 Lineup is Absurd

There have been plenty of Festival announcements in recent weeks whetting our collective appetites for days and nights of concert bliss (plus we don't even know what to fully expect from Coachella, although there are certainly enough speculations out there to let your mind run rampant). But I don't know if any can hold a candle to the recently announced Primavera Sound 2013 Festival that will be taking place in Barcelona.

Via Consequence of Sound, behold:

Here’s the 2013 lineup for Barcelona’s Primavera Sound: Blur, My Bloody Valentine, Wu-Tang Clan (!), The Knife, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Phoenix, The Postal Service, Fiona Apple, Hot Chip, The Breeders performing Last Splash, Swans, Band of Horses, Deerhunter, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Dexys, James Blake, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, Crystal Castles, Death Grips, Local Natives, Tinariwen, Rodriguez, Daniel Johnston, Neurosis, Dinosaur Jr., Shellac, Hot Snakes, Bob Mould, John Talabot, Disclosure, Killer Mike, Solange, Jessie Ware, Liars, Dead Can Dance, Titus Andronicus, and Fuck Buttons.

Also playing: Neko Case, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Fucked Up, Meat Puppets, Dan Deacon, Four Tet, Foxygen, Simian Mobile Disco, The Vaccines, Thee Oh Sees, Matthew E. White, Apparat, Omar Souleyman, METZ, Daughter, Woods, Christoper Owens, DIIV, How to Dress Well, Goat, King Tuff, Mac DeMarco, Wild Nothing, Mount Eerie, OM, The Bots, Glass Candy, Menomena, Camera Obscura, The Sea and the Cake, Daphini, Guards, Merchandise, Savages, Nick Waterhouse, Poolside, and White Fence.

And breathe.

And that's just an abridged list. The scope of this festival is absolutely mind-boggling. Wu-Tang, Blur, The Postal Service, Fiona Apple. The up-and-coming talent there like Foxygen, METZ, and Thee Oh Sees. Primavera has something for everyone.

Oh, and it takes place in beautiful Barcelona right before the Spanish summer from May 22-25. So it has that going for it. Check out the full poster of acts below (also courtesy of Consequence of Sound):
