From "Country Girl" to "Drunk on You," Another Hit for Another Summer

In this article…

Luke Bryan's hit song “Drunk On You” from his album Tailgates and Tan Lines, currently #2 on the Billboard Country Music charts, has been blowing up country fan's speakers to start off the summer.  The sweet sound of the season-oriented song has become quite a sensation, much like his popular song “Country Girl” did last summer.  It perfectly conveys a taste of what everyone loves: a little lust and a whole lot of summer.  With unique pick-up lines such as “If you ain't a 10 your a 9.9,” and “Girl you make my speakers go boom, boom,” Bryan serenades his lady fans with a way of wooing that'll sweep them off their feet. It might also leave them with a hangover they'll never forget.

Luke Bryan is quite poetic when it comes to the finer things in life, and that is rolling down windows, kicking back with a drink and appreciating what he's got.  The song represents that “feel good” feeling he gets this time of year, which is relevant to how one would feel after a couple drinks.  But when you've got a girl like he does, according to the song, that's all the buzz one needs. If you haven't yet heard the ear-addicting rhythm, it is available to purchase on Itunes along with Bryan's album, which was released last August.  You can also check him out performing the track live at the 2012 CMT Awards, and get drunk off the sound of summer.
