2012 CMT Awards Recap

Upbeat and light-hearted is the only way to describe the country chaos that went down in Nashville, Tennessee late Wednesday evening, as all of our favorite Country star artists gathered for the 2012 CMT Music Awards. The overall performances and interactions with the fans were a huge sensation, and left the audience with some good moods and great music!

To kick-off the night, CMT presented some very unique performances, but none that could even compare to the collaborative duo that took the stage first. Lady Antebellum made an eye-catching entrance through their fans and began singing their hit song "We Owned The Night." Some of the other popular artists won awards such as Collaborative Video of the year, presented on stage and received by Brad Paisley and Carry Underwood, for their great duet "Remind Me." Female Video of the year was received by Miranda Lambert while Male Video of the year taken by Luke Bryan. CMT Performance of the year was given to first-time winner Jason Aldean.

Duo Video of the year rewarded to Thompson Square for their well-known hit "I Got You." The young, but very talented, Scotty McCreery was announced winner of USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of The Year for "The Trouble With Girls." And Video of The Year was a well deserved win for Carry Underwood for her grand performance in "Good Girl."

Between the abundance of talented artists present at the show and the support of all their fans, anyone would say that it was certainly a successful year in the country music business.  After a night like that, it seems like things can only go up from here.
