Watch: Landry Fields and Jeremy Lin's Handshake Tutorial

In this article…

While the New York Post is announcing the death of "Linsanity", it's still alive and well in my heart.  The most pleasant surprise of Jeremy Lin's meteoric rise was the friendship that blossomed between him and Landry Fields.  The two crafted one of the coolest/nerdiest pre-game handshakes in recent memory.  The two don imaginary glasses, Lin flips through a book that fields holds open, then they close the book and take off the glasses.  It's completely pointless, but completely mesmerizing all at the same time.

The actual methods of the handshake haven't been a secret.  It's easy to replicate once you watch it a couple of times.  But what did it all really mean?  What was that book that Landry was holding?  Why did they smack each other's butts at the end?  Now all of their secrets have been revealed in a tell-all instructional video by the men themselves.

Watching how much fun they had with that handshake makes me want to form handshakes with everyone I meet.  Then I can go around performing awesome handshakes all day.  Lin should probably make a handshake with new head coach Mike Woodson, just so he doesn't forget that Lin is still on the team.
