Though guitar legend Eric Clapton is scheduled to host his 70th Birthday Celebration shows at Madison Square Garden on May 2nd and 3rd, the chances of one, or both of the shows being rescheduled are very, very strong.
Due to scheduling conflicts for the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs where the New York Rangers will have home ice advantage, Clapton's show could be moved, and chances are it will most likely be Saturday night's event getting bumped.
Schedules for round two of the playoffs are not yet out, but will be announced shortly after the series still in progress come to a close.
In the meantime, the Rangers are waiting to find out who they will be playing in the second round, and that will be determined tonight when the Washington Capitals take on the New York Islanders in game seven of their opening series.
Tickets for the rescheduled show would still be honored on it's new date. If you're a fan of both Clapton and the Blue Shirts, I'd like to think you're fine with the Rangers pushing his concert out of MSG.
