2015 NFL Draft: Best at Each Position and Where They Could Land

The 2015 NFL Draft is approaching us quickly, and here at CHARGED.fm we will keep you ready and updated as to who your team might be taking this year. The first round will be held on April 30th, and the rest will continue on May 1st and May 2nd in Chicago. They hype surrounding this year's draft is similar to year's past, but there are a few big names that stand out amongst others.

That doesn't mean this year's draft is lacking in talent. There are players at all positions that can enter the league and make an immediate impact. Here, we go through the best players available at each position and where they might end up.

Quarterback

Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota

These are the two biggest names in the entire draft, and one of them will go first overall to Tampa Bay. It most likely will be Winston, but anything can happen leading up to the draft. Also, don't expect Mariota to fall past number six to the Jets. Teams like Cleveland and St. Louis are also looking at trading up with Tennessee to number two to position themselves for one of these two QBs.

Running Back

Todd Gurley, Melvin Gordon

Gurley, one of the best players in college football last season, tore his ACL late in the year. The injury obviously raises questions about his health, but his talent is undeniable. Gordon, on the other hand, dominated college football, and both of them are likely late first round or early second round picks. The Chargers and Cardinals will be in play for these two in the first round.

Wide Recievers

Amari Cooper, Kevin White

Cooper, a standout from Alabama, has been playing in big game since he was a freshman. His 40 yard dash and vertical don't stand out, but his route running and receiving skills are superb. White, on the other hand, projects unbelievably with his 40 and vertical. Both these players are likely top 10 picks. Teams like the Raiders and Bears are looking for receivers.

Offensive Tackle

Brandon Scherff, Ereck Flowers

These two aren't sexy names like the skill players, but both can have a huge impacts for their new teams. Just look at the Dallas Cowboys offense was shored up by the addition of rookie lineman Zack Martin last year. At 6'5"/315 lbs., Scherff is strong and mobile at tackle. Flowers measures at 6'6"/315 lbs., and he is another highly skilled tackle. It is highly unlikely that either goes in the top 5, but both should be top 15 picks. Look for teams like the Giants and Rams to express interest.

Defensive Tackle

Leonard Williams, Danny Shelton

Almost every draft expert will tell you that Leonard Williams is the best player in this year's draft. He was dominant in the front 7 for USC for multiple years and is going to continue that into the NFL. Shelton is another great tackle but will most likely be selected in the middle of the first round. Williams is not going past number three, where the Jacksonville Jaguars pick.

Defensive End/Outside Linebacker

Dante Fowler Jr., Vic Beasley, Shane Ray, Randy Gregory

This position is by far the deepest in this draft. These four players are all likely to go in the top ten. All four possess great size and strength and will make an impact immediately in the NFL. Having too many pass rushers in the NFL is a good problem to have. Just ask those Super Bowl teams the New York Giants fielded in the 2000s.

Cornerback

Trae Waynes, Kevin Johnson

Both these corners are terrific in pass coverage and have the skill to start right away. Their size doesn't stand out amongst scouts, but their intangibles are off the charts. They are unlikely to go in the top ten, but most likely will go somewhere in the 10-20 range. Teams like Minnesota and Houston are looking for corners, so expect them to make a push to get one of these two.
