Jack Nicklaus Makes Hole-In-One at Masters

There’s still some magic for Nicklaus at Augusta as he recorded his first ace yesterday.

Jack Nicklaus Makes Hole-In-One at Masters

Augusta National always manages to provide a flair for the dramatic, and during yesterday's Par-3 Contest, the course provided another memorable moment. Jack Nicklaus made his first hole-in-one at the tournament.

Nicklaus had never made an ace during competition at The Masters or during the Par-3 Contest. On the fourth hole playing with Gary Player and Ben Crenshaw, Nicklaus gave the gallery another reason to erupt with a shot that tracked back and dropped in. Nicklaus is 75 years old. I would have trouble just shooting par on a majority of these holes, and he's out there dropping in aces at roughly three times my age.

Check out video of Nicklaus's shot below:

If that isn't a little foreshadowing that something amazing is going to happen during The Masters this week, I don't know what is. Check back later this evening for updates on Round 1 of the tournament where Charley Hoffman and Ian Poulter are currently leading the pack at (-2) early on.
