Heavy Metal Legends Black Sabbath Announce Farewell Show

In this article…

Original members of the band Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Tommy Iommi, and Geezer Butler, are set to headline Japan OzzFest on November 22nd. The festival is set to take place in Muhkari Messe, outside of Japan, and also promises a performance by Nu Metal band Korn. The bittersweet part of this tour date: it's being billed as a farewell show for the metal legends.

Osbourne has invited Drummer Bill Ward to join the group on their final show. Ward has previously refused a reunion tour with the original band over financial disputes within the group.

OzzFest is a long running hard rock and heavy metal festival that was founded by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, and has been touring since 1996.

Leading up to their final gig, the band has been working on a final album with legendary producer Rick Rubin.
